The Project: Install Gen 7 fuel injection. Make more power and better drivability than the Junk that Roush Racing pushes out the door. Performance Engineering built the 427 windsor mill my job was to install the fuel injection, Dual Sync distributor and all associated wiring and get it tuned. We ended up with 570HP @ 6200rpm and a car that starts and drives like its fuel injected. In short we made 30HP and 60ftlb TQ more than the Roush Racing Engine that was installed in a similar car. I must say the fuel injected Roush starts very hard will barely idle and just drives like crap. We blew out their program and fixed it too.
